Annie Gerding, DVM

Pet parent to Joy, Roo, Kip, Bento, Sushi and Cody

Experience

I first worked as an associate veterinarian at a general practice in Columbus, OH. This included wellness and sick appointments and long-term management of patient care plans. In addition to providing virtual services, I am an urgent care veterinarian in Grove City, Ohio seeing urgent and ER appointments on a more critical-need basis. I also enjoy working as a relief veterinarian in both general practice and urgent care practices. This allows me to maintain skills in both fields, broaden my skill set, meet new people, and serve a wide range of clients and demographics.

Special interests

I am especially interested in internal medicine as well as geriatric quality of life and care.

Pet Parent

I have five cats and a horse! My cats are Joy, Roo, Kip, Bento, and Sushi and my horse is Cody.

Why virtual vet care?

I think virtual vet care is an important adjunct to in-person veterinary care. It allows clients to seek advice without waiting hours at an emergency clinic for non-life threatening situations. It also expands access to care, ensuring a greater range of our pet population is being cared for.

Education

The Ohio State University (Biology)

The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

Outside work

In my free time I love to compete in jumper competitions with my horse, Cody. I live with my girlfriend in Columbus, OH. We also love to try new restaurants, spend time with friends, or enjoy a relaxing night at home with our cats!
